Shore Points Amateur Radio Club Minutes of the meeting held August 20, 2015 at the Brigantine Community Center The meeting commenced at 7:30 PM with the Pledge of Allegiance and introductions with club president Rick Hitchen presiding. Ten voting members and one guest were present. Club Treasurer, Bob Webb read the financial report for July. There was a complete accounting of all of the club's financial assets in the amount of $783.86. Dave Holmes motioned to accept the report, Jim Tyndall seconded and the motion passed unanimously. The minutes of the previous meeting, held on July 16, 2015, were read by the club secretary, David Holmes. Rick motioned to accept the minutes, Bob McFadden seconded and the motion passed unanimously. Repeater Report: No official repeater report was given. Bob and Dave related the story of how Gary Paul got the club's 440 Fusion repeater up and running. A ten meter net report was given by Rick. He will repair his antenna connection before the next net. Old Business: The National Night Out had a good setup and the event was deemed successful. New Business: The Amateur Radio Parity Act was introduced in the Senate. David will email information to the members on how to email our Senators and House Representative. Former member Gary Castellini's email address appears to no longer be valid as emails to him are returned as undeliverable. There will be special event stations for Pope Francis's visit to Philadelphia. Bill Shwoer was sponsored for membership by Art Masker and his membership was approved. At 8:05 PM the meeting was adjourned. Immediately following the meeting a 50/50 drawing was held. Art drew winning ticket which was held by Marv Tyndall and the club netted $14.00.
